Who Am I?
Hello there! I’m Matthew, a portrait and event photographer! I’ve been practicing photography since starting my A levels in 2021. In that time, I began working on investigating gender expression and identity through photography. After finishing my time at college, I started pursuing a Media Degree in Southampton where I continue to break the standards of conformity. My time at university has not only allowed me to develop my skills as a photographer but also transfer those skills into videography.
Where I have visually directed a short documentary about vinyl records and produced video content for Victorious Festival.
I’m constantly learning new ways of turning this passion into a career and always wanting to test my skills. I’m always on the hunt for that hidden story in each photograph and I love working with people to figure out what narrative they want to pursue. I am primarily a portrait photographer and have used those skills to get work with my favourite band as a photographer, go abroad to Switzerland to shoot a wedding and produced work for film and art festivals.
